Director of Engineering (Women Only Role)

Job Summary

UAE leading bank is seeking a Women Tech leader to drive strategy, design, and delivery of its payments ecosystem, including card issuing, acquiring, wallets, P2P, and cross-border payment solutions. The role involves managing fintech partnerships, ensuring regulatory compliance (UAE Central Bank, NPCI, PCI DSS), collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring future women leaders.

Job Roles & Responsibilities

• Payments Strategy & Execution:
• Design and lead the execution of Wio’s payments strategy across issuing, acquiring, digital wallets, P2P transfers, RTP, and embedded finance.
• Fintech Innovation:
• Identify new fintech opportunities and lead product initiatives that enable digital-first, inclusive payment experiences for individuals and SMEs.
• Partnership Management:
• Build and manage key partnerships with payment networks (e.g., Visa, Mastercard), PSPs, card processors, and technology vendors.
• Cross-Functional Leadership:
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Risk, Compliance, and Operations teams in Dubai and Gurgaon to deliver scalable, compliant, and secure payment solutions.
• Regulatory Compliance:
• Ensure all payment products comply with UAE Central Bank regulations, Indian regulatory requirements (if applicable), and global security standards like PCI DSS.
• Diversity & Mentorship:
• Actively mentor and support women in fintech roles across the organization, fostering a culture of gender equity and leadership development.
• Thought Leadership:
• Represent Wio at fintech events, contribute to industry panels, and drive Wio’s presence in the regional innovation ecosystem.

• Deep understanding of end-to-end digital payments (card issuing/acquiring, RTP, cross-border, e-wallets) and fintech product lifecycle.

• Strong program management skills to drive projects from strategy through to launch and post-implementation optimization.

Hiring Process
