Senior Software Engineer (Back-end)

Job Summary

We’re looking for a Back-End Software Engineer experienced in the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js) to help scale and enhance BearTracks. You’ll build robust, secure, and high-performance backend services that power our dynamic ecosystem of mail, parcel, digital routing, and analytics features.

Job Roles & Responsibilities

• • API Development: Build RESTful APIs and microservices that power our enterprise mail and package workflows.
• • Database Architecture: Design and optimize MongoDB schemas and queries for high performance and scalability.
• • Security & Auth: Implement secure authentication and authorization (OAuth, JWT) and ensure strong data protection.
• • Scalability & Performance: Analyze and resolve bottlenecks across the backend stack.
• • Cloud Infrastructure: Deploy, manage, and monitor services on AWS (or equivalent cloud platforms).
• • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with front-end, product, and infrastructure teams to deliver end-to-end experiences.
• • Testing & Quality: Write unit, integration, and system tests to ensure platform reliability.
• • Documentation: Maintain internal documentation of systems, APIs, and deployment processes.

Cultural Expectations

• • 3+ years of backend development experience, preferably in a production MERN stack environment.
• • Proven experience building scalable microservices and distributed systems.
• • Strong command of Node.js and MongoDB, with practical cloud deployment experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• • Understanding of secure coding practices and compliance-sensitive systems.
• • Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• • Bonus: Experience with GraphQL, Redis, or ElasticSearch.
• • Strong debugging, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• • Clear communication and a collaborative approach to team projects
