Head of AI

Job Summary

We are looking for a visionary Head of AI with 8+ years of experience in driving AI strategy, research, and large-scale implementation. The ideal leader will bring deep expertise in machine learning, NLP, generative AI, and data science, with a proven track record of building and scaling AI teams, platforms, and products. This role requires strong business acumen to align AI initiatives with organizational goals, foster innovation, and deliver measurable impact. The Head of AI will collaborate with executive leadership, guide technology adoption, and shape the company’s long-term AI roadmap while ensuring ethical, secure, and responsible use of AI.

Job Roles & Responsibilities

• Define and execute the AI strategy aligned with business and product goals
• Lead cross-functional AI/ML teams in building scalable models for recommendation, ranking, NLP, fraud detection, and personalization
• Oversee model development lifecycle — from data collection, training, and deployment to monitoring and iteration
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to integrate AI into user-facing applications
• Ensure data governance, fairness, explainability, and ethical AI practices
• Stay updated with the latest in AI/ML research and technology to drive innovation
• Build and mentor a world-class AI team; attract top talent and foster a high-performance culture
• Own the roadmap for AI infrastructure, tooling, and MLOps

Cultural Expectations

• 10+ years of experience in Data Science, AI/ML, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role
• Proven experience in deploying AI at scale in a consumer tech/product-driven environment
• Strong expertise in machine learning, deep learning, NLP, and recommendation systems
• Hands-on knowledge of Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and cloud AI services (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Experience with data platforms, MLOps, and model lifecycle management
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and team-building skill
• Ph.D. or Master’s in Computer Science, AI/ML, or related field
• Experience in consumer internet, dating, or e-commerce platforms
• Knowledge of LLMs, transformers, and generative AI tools
• Prior experience building AI/ML platforms or internal tooling
