Backend Developer

Job Summary

As a Backend Developer, you will design and build robust, scalable backend systems using NodeJS, Python, or Java. You will play a key role in shaping application architecture, building APIs, and ensuring performance, security, and reliability.

Job Roles & Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement scalable backend services using NodeJS, Python, or Java.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs / GraphQL services and integrate with third-party systems.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.
• Work with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Ensure backend security, authentication, and authorization best practices.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and uphold coding standards.
• Stay updated with industry best practices, tools, and technologies.

Cultural Expectations

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development.
• Strong knowledge of NodeJS, Python, or Java (at least two preferred).
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in databases (SQL/NoSQL) and caching systems.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Solid understanding of scalability, performance optimization, and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
