QA engineer

Job Summary

As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for executing manual and automated tests to ensure the delivery of high-quality software. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to detect, track, and resolve issues, ensuring applications are reliable and user-friendly.

Job Roles & Responsibilities

• Write, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to clarify requirements and define acceptance criteria.
• Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
• Track and report defects in tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or similar.
• Assist in developing and maintaining automation scripts (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar).
• Validate data and backend functionality using SQL queries.
• Contribute to Agile/Scrum ceremonies and ensure quality in every sprint.

Cultural Expectations

• 3+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance.
• Solid understanding of QA processes, SDLC, and STLC.
• Strong knowledge of manual testing techniques.
• Exposure to automation testing tools (Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, PyTest, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Git version control.
• Familiarity with API testing and performance testing concepts.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills.
