Junior backend Developer

Job Summary

As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing backend services using NodeJS, Python, or Java. You will work closely with frontend and product teams to deliver high-quality, scalable applications while ensuring security, performance, and reliability.

Job Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using NodeJS, Python, or Java.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs / GraphQL services.
• Work with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Ensure application performance, security, and scalability.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues efficiently.
• Participate in code reviews and follow best coding practices.

Cultural Expectations

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in backend development.
• Proficiency in NodeJS, Python, or Java (experience in at least one required, familiarity with more is a plus).
• Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, and system design concepts.
• Knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and caching mechanisms.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Exposure to Agile development processes.
