Junior QA engineer

Job Summary

As a Junior QA Engineer, you will support the QA team in executing manual tests, identifying issues, and ensuring the quality of applications. This role offers excellent learning opportunities to grow into an automation and senior QA role over time.

Job Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist in writing and executing manual test cases.
• Perform functional, regression, and smoke testing under supervision.
• Report bugs and track them using tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or similar.
• Collaborate with developers and senior QA engineers to understand requirements.
• Gain exposure to automation testing tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.).
• Learn and apply basic API testing with tools such as Postman.
• Document test results and maintain testing reports.

Cultural Expectations

• 0–3 years of experience in software testing (internship or project experience acceptable).
• Basic understanding of SDLC, STLC, and QA methodologies.
• Knowledge of manual testing techniques (functional, regression, boundary value, etc.).
• Familiarity with SQL basics for database validation is a plus.
• Interest in learning automation testing frameworks.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and eagerness to learn.

Hiring Process
