Job Summary

As a Senior Database Engineer, you will design, optimize, and maintain relational and NoSQL databases, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security while collaborating with development teams to support application requirements.

Job Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Optimize database performance, indexing, and query efficiency.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and backup/recovery strategies.
• Collaborate with developers to design data models and support application requirements.
• Monitor database health, troubleshoot issues, and perform preventive maintenance.
• Implement replication, sharding, and clustering for high availability and scalability.
• Develop and maintain scripts and automation for database management.
• Stay updated with database technologies, tools, and best practices.

Cultural Expectations

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in database engineering or administration.
• Strong expertise in MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Experience in database design, normalization, and optimization.
• Knowledge of backup, recovery, replication, and clustering.
• Familiarity with cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, GCP Cloud SQL) is a plus.
• Strong SQL/NoSQL querying and scripting skills.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
