Backend Developer_ IIoT

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer with a strong background in Python, Industrial IoT (IIoT), and Smart Factory technologies to support global Miba production sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems and IIoT platforms in an agile, DevOps-enabled environment. This role requires deep understanding of industry protocols, backend architecture, and deployment automation to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing systems in industrial automation and manufacturing contexts.

Job Roles & Responsibilities

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
• 4–6 years of hands-on experience as a backend developer.
• Proven experience with Python, Flask, Django, NumPy, Pandas.
• Deep understanding of IIoT, Industry 4.0, and industrial automation environments.
• Strong experience in database design and management (SQL and NoSQL).
• Proficient with Git, Azure DevOps, and version control workflows.
• Experience working with industrial protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in globally distributed agile teams.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Cultural Expectations

• Familiarity with Java Spring Boot and Node.js.
• Experience with AI/ML concepts and developing AI-powered applications.
• Understanding of DevOps culture and observability tools like Grafana, Prometheus, etc.
• Background in deploying IT solutions in production environments.
• Exposure to secure coding practices and cybersecurity in IIoT contexts.
