Automation Tester

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Tester with 5–7 years of experience in both UI and API automation testing. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Selenium, Playwright, and Pytest frameworks, using Python as the primary scripting language. The role requires excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, as it involves close collaboration with cross-functional development, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Job Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for UI and API testing using Selenium, Playwright, and Pytest.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members to understand application requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Execute automated test suites, analyze results, and log defects using appropriate tools.
• Participate in test planning, estimation, and strategy discussions to define automation scope and objectives.
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous testing.
• Perform regression testing and ensure existing functionalities remain stable after updates.
• Document automation frameworks, test scripts, and test results for future reference and audits.
• Identify opportunities to enhance and optimize the existing automation framework and testing processes.
• Troubleshoot automation issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Maintain a high level of quality assurance standards in every phase of the development lifecycle

Cultural Expectations

• Proven expertise in Selenium WebDriver and Playwright for UI automation.
• Strong understanding of Pytest framework for structuring and executing automated tests.
• Proficiency in Python programming for test automation and scripting.
• Solid understanding of API testing tools (like Postman or REST Assured) and experience automating API tests.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in fast-paced development environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with developers, QA leads, and product owners.
• Ability to analyze complex systems, identify testing gaps, and proactively recommend improvements.
• Passion for automation, continuous improvement, and delivering high-quality software products.
