Job Summary

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management Lead, mentor, and grow QA teams (SDET, Manual QA, Automation, Performance, Security QA). Drive hiring, onboarding, training, and career development for QA engineers. Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Work closely with engineering managers, product managers, designers, and dev leads. Quality Strategy & Governance Define and own the complete QA strategy: manual, automation, performance, security, and release quality. Establish best practices in test planning, test design, documentation, and coverage. Drive shift-left testing—embed QA early in design and development. Define quality KPIs (defect leakage, automation coverage, release quality, stability metrics). Automation & Tooling Build and scale automation frameworks for Web, Mobile, and API layers. Ensure automation is deeply integrated into CI/CD pipelines for fast, reliable releases. Own quality tooling (Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Playwright, JMeter, Postman, RestAssured, etc.). Collaborate with DevOps for test environments, data setups, and release automation. Quality Delivery & Release Management Ensure high-quality releases with proper validation, test coverage, and sign-offs. Manage multiple squads, ensuring timely delivery and cross-team coordination. Oversee regression cycles, sanity testing, and production validation. Drive RCA processes, reduce defect leakage, and improve reliability. Process & Continuous Improvement Build scalable QA processes for microservices, distributed systems, and mobile apps. Introduce new tools, frameworks, and automation approaches to improve quality. Implement efficient test data management and test environment strategies. Improve developer productivity through static analysis, quality gates, and shift-left KPIs. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with product teams to define acceptance criteria, test plans, and risk assessment. Work closely with engineering leads to integrate quality into every step of SDLC. Represent QA in architecture discussions, sprint planning, and roadmap reviews.
