Job Summary

Job Description – Software Engineer (Full Stack, Backend-Focused) Location: Remote Experience: 4–7 years About the Role SambaNova is looking for a Software Engineer (Full Stack, Backend-Focused) to contribute to the development of the SambaSuite platform, our enterprise-grade AI infrastructure solution used to deploy and scale foundation model workloads. In this role, you will develop backend-heavy features, scalable APIs, and intuitive UI components while working across core platform systems that power AI workloads at production scale. You will collaborate closely with infrastructure, platform, and development teams to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performance software. Roles & Responsibilities Own, maintain, and troubleshoot the Bazel build ecosystem, including RBE configuration and performance optimization. Ensure the stability, scalability, and reliability of CI/CD pipelines. Optimize and enhance CircleCI workflows, configurations, and automation processes. Manage and streamline Python package dependencies within CI/CD workflows. Collaborate with engineering teams to improve build, test, integration, and deployment pipelines. Work with Google Artifact Registry (GAR) and JFrog Artifact Management to manage artifacts and ensure efficient usage. Implement infrastructure improvements and automation across build and deployment systems. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth development operations and consistent delivery quality. Expectations Deep understanding of Bazel, RBE, and complex build systems. Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, specifically CircleCI. Proficiency in Linux/Unix, scripting (Python, Bash), and command-line tooling. Ability to diagnose and resolve complex build, dependency, and infrastructure issues. Experience managing dependencies in large-scale codebases. Familiarity with artifact management tools such as GAR or JFrog. Strong communication and collaboration with distributed engineering teams. Preferred understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and additional CI/CD tools. Commitment to engineering excellence, reliability, and continuous improvement. Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, or Build Systems Engineering. 1+ years of hands-on experience with CircleCI. Strong understanding of Bazel and Remote Build Execution (RBE), especially in C++ (CMake) and Python environments. Experience with dependency management in large-scale projects. Experience with Google Artifact Registry (GAR) or JFrog Artifact Management. Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash). Experience working with Linux/Unix systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Python package management. Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or other container/orchestration tools. Understanding of other CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, etc. Knowledge of software development best practices and coding standards.
