Cloud Storage DevOps Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Cloud Storage DevOps Engineer with 5+ years of proven experience in distributed storage and infrastructure automation. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Ceph cluster design and optimization (object, block, file) integrated with OpenStack and Kubernetes (Rook/CSI), along with strong knowledge of Linux I/O, filesystems, LVM, and networking (iSCSI, NVMe-oF). The role requires hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, Bash/Python (and Go), CI/CD pipelines, observability, performance tuning, and ensuring high availability and failover recovery in hybrid and cloud-native environments.

Job Roles & Responsibilities

• Design and manage Ceph storage clusters (object, block, file) across lab and production environments.
• Integrate Ceph with OpenStack (Cinder, Glance, Nova) and Kubernetes (via Rook or CSI).
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, or custom tooling.
• Monitor, benchmark, and tune storage performance across multi-tenant platforms.

Cultural Expectations

• Ceph internals: CRUSH maps, OSD pools, MONs/MGRs, RADOS GW.
• OpenStack services (Cinder, Glance, Nova) and storage backend.
