Lead TypeScript Backend Engineer

Job Summary

VoiceOwl is seeking a Lead TypeScript Backend Engineer with 8+ years of experience to own and evolve backend architecture for its Agentic AI platform. This role involves leading a team to build scalable, type-safe services using TypeScript and Node.js, providing deep technical leadership on MongoDB, and driving engineering standards and technical vision. The ideal candidate will have expertise in microservices, distributed systems, NestJS, CI/CD, Docker, and cloud deployments.

Job Roles & Responsibilities

• Define and evolve backend architecture in a TypeScript-first ecosystem.
• Lead development of critical backend systems, APIs, and platform components.
• Set and enforce type safety, code quality, and architectural patterns.
• Expert-level TypeScript and Node.js proficiency.
• Extensive backend architecture and system design experience.
• Deep expertise in MongoDB, including sharding, schema evolution, indexing, and high-throughput performance tuning.
