Senior TypeScript Backend Engineer

Job Summary

VoiceOwl is seeking a Senior TypeScript Backend Engineer with 4-8 years of experience to join their team on-site. The role involves designing, building, and scaling backend systems for an enterprise Agentic AI platform, focusing on meaningful customer conversations. Key responsibilities include architecting scalable services using TypeScript and Node.js, deep engagement with MongoDB, and leading complex feature development.

Job Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale backend systems using TypeScript
• Architect and develop scalable backend services in TypeScript + Node.js
• Create robust, type-safe API contracts using interfaces, generics, and shared schemas
• Work deeply with MongoDB: indexing, aggregation pipelines, and optimization
• Significant hands-on experience with MongoDB (schema design, indexes, aggregation, performance tuning)
• Use Redis, message queues, and caching strategies for high-performance systems
• Implement unit and integration testing, along with CI-ready code quality patterns
• Experience with Docker and deployment pipelines
• Knowledge of AWS or similar cloud platforms
• Participate in system design, documentation, and technical decision-making
