Senior Data Scientist

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist with 6–9 years of experience in machine learning, NLP, and advanced analytics. The ideal candidate should have strong programming skills in Python, experience with libraries like Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, and NLTK, and solid knowledge of ML algorithms, text analytics, and databases. Cloud platform experience (AWS/Azure) and data visualization expertise are a plus.

Job Roles & Responsibilities

• Build and deploy machine learning models for NLP and text analytics use cases.
• Implement and optimize algorithms such as Naive Bayes, SVM, logistic regression, k-NN, decision trees, MLPs, and RNNs.
• Analyze large volumes of unstructured and structured data to extract insights using statistical and machine learning methods.
• Work with LLMs and NLP frameworks to build intelligent text-based solutions.
• Clean, preprocess, and manipulate datasets using Pandas, NumPy, and related tools.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to understand business problems and propose data-driven solutions.
• Use SQL and other query tools to extract and manipulate data from databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.).
• Present findings using data visualization libraries (e.g., matplotlib, seaborn, plotly).

Cultural Expectations

• Proven experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst, particularly with text and language data.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an eye for detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to present complex findings clearly.
• Familiarity with big data tools (Hive, Pig) and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) is a plus.
• Experience with data visualization tools and best practices for communicating results.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
