Gitlab Devops Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a GitLab DevOps Engineer with 5–6 years of experience in cloud-native DevOps practices, specifically on Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes (GKE). The role requires strong skills in Terraform, Ansible, Chef, GitLab CI, scripting (Ruby/Go/Bash), and network observability to build and scale secure, automated infrastructures.

Job Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and manage GCP infrastructure, including networking (VPCs, subnets, load balancers) and GKE clusters.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and manage system configurations using Ansible or Chef.
• Deploy and manage applications in Kubernetes environments, leveraging Helm for package management.
• Develop automation scripts in Ruby, Go, or Bash for system tasks and deployments.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI or equivalent tools.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues, working with protocols like TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS.
• Utilize network observability and traffic analysis tools to ensure performance and security.
• Work asynchronously across teams and document processes clearly and thoroughly.

Cultural Expectations

• 5–6 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or related roles.
• Deep understanding of GCP services, GKE, and cloud networking.
• Proficient in Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes ecosystem tools.
• Skilled in Ruby or Go, with automation scripting expertise.
• Experience with CI/CD systems, especially GitLab CI.
• Excellent communication skills, especially in asynchronous and remote collaboration.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with attention to infrastructure scalability, performance, and security.
