Engineering Lead

Job Summary

We’re seeking an Engineering Lead / Architect to design, build, and guide the development of our next-generation voice AI platform. This role combines deep technical expertise with hands-on leadership — shaping architecture, mentoring engineers, and ensuring we deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

Job Roles & Responsibilities

• Own the overall technical architecture and system design of our platform (including APIs,services, data layers, and integrations)
• Choose appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to align with business and product goals
• Define and review API contracts, data models, and infrastructure components
• Break down product features into detailed engineering tasks and estimate effort
• Set and enforce coding standards, security practices, and performance guidelines
• Mentor, coach, and review code from engineering team members
• Collaborate closely with Product, UX, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure alignment and quality
• Oversee scalability, reliability, and cost optimization of cloud infrastructure
• Contribute hands-on to critical components, especially during initial builds or high-impact phases

Cultural Expectations

• 6+ years of engineering experience, with 2+ years in a lead or architect role
• Strong experience designing and building large-scale, distributed systems (preferablycloud-native, microservices)
• Deep knowledge of API design, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and event-driven architectures
• Hands-on expertise with technologies such as Node.js or TypeScript (additionally Python is aplus).
• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud services
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, security best practices, and monitoring
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to translate between technical andbusiness needs
